What does the 5-Week Scene Writing Program involve?

This one-on-one coaching involves analysing scenes from well-known stories, breaking down their structure, and evaluating their effectiveness. It ensures that each unit of the story works as part of a working whole.

5-Week Scene Writing Program Includes:

• Pre-reading: I will send you scenes to read and analyse before our first session.
• Week 1: Discuss the pre-reading scenes and go through the theory of a working scene. Assignment: You will analyse a scene from your work in progress.
• Week 2: Revise the assignment. Discuss what changes should be made and compare it to a similar scene from a published novel. Assignment: Re-write the scene based on feedback.  
• Week 3: Revise the assignment and go through the theory of linking scenes. Assignment: Write a new scene, either one that is missing from your work in progress or a new story.
• Week 4: Revise the assignment and review advanced scene writing theory. Assignment: Rewrite the new scenes.
• Week 5: Revise the assignment and revise all scene writing theory.
